Visiting Mercara

Last fortnight, I was in Mercara, visiting the coffee district of Karnataka. It is a magical land and I had the opportunity to try out the capabilities of my new digital camera. The British said that Mercara reminded them to home, of Scotland. It is nestled in the gentle hills of Kodagu district. The warrior like race of Kodavas, which has produced the likes of Field Marshal Cariappa and general K.S.Thimmaiah, is native here. I have uploaded some snaps of the trip below.
